@Theoblybriguy@InvisiSquirrel@mattramage You know stadiums are "functionally obsolete" and need to be replaced or need SUBSTANTIAL upgrade and renovations after 30 years, right? The team will be right back in this situation demanding a move again unless the state pays another 2-4 billion or MORE in tax breaks
@Theoblybriguy@InvisiSquirrel@mattramage They make 9% annually in tax off of $370 million in ticket sales, so ~$33.3 mil/yr. Concessions are 2mil per game @ 11% tax * 9 home games. Round that up to $2 mil/yr. So lets say $36 million in taxes. Indiana is giving 2 BILLION. It would take 56 years before they even out
@InvisiSquirrel@mattramage Why? Illinois spends zero tax dollars, tHe than moves 30 miles away which is nothing. the fans aren’t hanging out in Hammond after the game. They’re all going right back to Illinois after lol
@Acyn Imagine your dad skipping work to play golf the majority of the time, and then when you tell him you're getting married, he's like... "Sorry champ... I got this work thing I gotta do that day"
@SharpFootball And on the other end, it was literally the Cavs handing the entire offense to "Playoff" Harden 99% of the time. The ONLY Cavs points in the second OT period was when Harden finally took a backseat and Strus hit a 3
@Sheridanblog Wemby was over FORTY MINUTES at that point, running on FUMES. Of course it's ideal to just truck it down the middle, juking 4 defenders from the half court line off a 1 dribble euro step & dunk like any normal freak alien unicorn... but it is what it is
@GetUpESPN@KendrickPerkins Protect The Brand? Lmao… the “brand” has been about pushing profits no matter what, even at the expense of integrity for a long time now
