Best people on Earth.
Fun rep for OSU fans to watch:
1) CJ's pocket presence + holy off-platform arm strength, Batman
2) Cowboys putting Downs in position to succeed by playing him as the 'role-runner' in Tampa 2, where he did so much damage while in Columbus
Obsessed with this Stroud TD.
++ pocket management after Quinnen bull rush. Cowboys spin to 2 Hole which should take away Collins on the dig. Stroud's scramble pulls Downs downhill.
Look at how quick that release is (+ location!) to protect Collins from the deep half player.
Like the defense, what the offense lacks in exoticism, it makes up for with excellent play along the offensive line.
They get chunks in the run game, protect the QB, and take care of the football.
Add that to a defense that quickly gets the ball back and good special teams, you get a team that can dictate games without being sexy.
Ahead of tomorrow's tilt, let's do a little scouting of the Iowa Hawkeyes courtesy of @HudlIQ. Given who we're talking about, we'll obviously begin with the defense.
As usual, Phil Parker's team lines up in 4-down fronts 93% of the time and majors in zone coverage (76%), playing mostly Quarters (38%) and Cover 3 (24%).
They don't blitz an average amount (31%), but almost never run simulated pressures (3%), and often match personnel, going with a 4-3 against 12P 73% of the time this season.
@HudlIQ They haven't seen much man coverage so far this season (just 38 snaps) but have struggled when doing so (42% success rate, -0.18 EPA/play).
I would guess Matt Patricia will man-up his corners tomorrow, despite how Illinois had some success against such looks last week.
Among other things in this week’s @11W Film Study, I broke down how a frustrated Illinois defense acted like someone playing Madden…which didn’t turn out so well.

Lots of hate on Ohio State's starting Middle Linebacker, but there were a few things in this week's @11W Film Study that show why the coaches trust him so much.

This store in Evanston, Illinois has the wildest HOUSE DIVIDED hats I've ever seen 😂
There are some combinations I never would expect in here @SickosCommittee
What is the wildest combination you see?
🎥 Study season has returned over at @11W, but so have many of the brain farts we’ve seen before along Ohio State’s offensive line.
