Using @YoungLives data, this paper shows that students in schools using English as a medium of instruction have lower mathematics test scores compared to mother tongue education students.
So whilst the main results support the prolonged utilization of mother tongue instruction, there is not one optimal language policy for multilingual contexts—social and political contexts matter!
