I'm old enough to remember when Nigel Farage would hold a press conference at the drop of a hat.
So why is he now launching his divisive policies in a blog post from the safety of his keyboard?
I can think of 5 million reasons why…
I get the Reform argument a vote for Restore is a vote for Burnham. But what I don’t understand is how that’s different from the argument the Tories made two years ago that a vote for Reform was a vote for Starmer. Can someone explain the intellectual or political difference.
Musk as a trillionaire- anyone as a trillionaire- is a grotesque economic, moral and political problem. We cannot have individuals with that level of power, whatever they might have achieved.
Shameless adolescent self-interested liar and disinformation superspreader, Richard Tice, has falsely claimed: “There’s no evidence that man-made CO₂ is going to change climate change” and Britain should simply “adapt to it.”
There is overwhelming, globally accepted evidence that man-made carbon dioxide (CO₂) is the primary driver of current climate change. The scientific consensus is virtually unanimous.
For voters in Essex and Kent, where millions of homes now face heightened risks of subsidence and sinking foundations from hotter, drier weather driven by climate change, Reform UK’s climate scepticism is a direct threat to their properties, insurance costs, and long-term security.
The British Geological Survey’s analysis is stark: hotter, drier summers are already shrinking the ground beneath houses, dragging foundations down. In 2025 alone, subsidence triggered £153 million in insurance claims in the first six months. By 2070, under a medium emissions scenario close to current global trajectories, more than 1.8 million properties nationwide could be affected, with over 26% of homes in London and major exposure across Essex and Kent.
Under a low-emissions Paris-aligned path, that drops dramatically to around 500,000. Scientists warn this is a “double whammy” for the region: dense housing plus the biggest projected changes in rainfall and temperature.
Many properties already show diagonal cracks, sloping floors, and plummeting values; lenders often refuse mortgages until costly underpinning or stabilisation work is done.
The UK is “built for a climate that no longer exists” and needs urgent mitigation to protect homes and communities. Yet Reform UK’s leaders reject the science and climate action.
In counties on the front line of these escalating risks, electing leaders who deny the problem and block mitigation leaves their homes, insurance premiums, and future bills far more exposed.
The science is clear: failing to act now dramatically worsens the outlook for the very properties Essex and Kent families rely on. Prioritising short-term rhetoric over these tangible, escalating threats is gambling with their voters’ most valuable asset, and their children’s futures.
Multimillionaire poshboys Tice and Farage do not give a solitary shit about their voters or their voter’s children - unless they’re giving them £MILLIONS or have fossil fuel interests.
Some might say Tice, farage, and all the other idiots who think human made climate change is some kind of hoax are human ‘garbage’.🤑
