@qa1wrpm meanwhile… videos of barco celebrating in front of the english players come out which is probably why jude was crying… “i don’t need evidence because i’m black and therefore magically knew what happened” unbelievable cope.
@ravener96@jeremysmiles the gulf war was clearly a bad thing which is why im critiquing the US for contributing to it happening in the first place by supporting saddam and providing him with a war tested military.
@ravener96@jeremysmiles obviously i dont support saddam but i also don’t turn a blind eye to US interference that leads to millions of deaths and decades of destabilization. you refuse to acknowledge this because you’re just as tribal as the religious extremist you hate.
@ravener96@jeremysmiles us directly funding a regime that went on to invade another country doesn’t show responsibility? or destabilizing a democracy which then led to two dictatorial regimes isn’t responsibility either?
@ravener96@jeremysmiles i mean clearly all the US actions had a part in causing these events you’re just choosing to deny that. the only one playing what if is you. all the US contributions to these events actually happened you’re the one saying “what if they happened anyways”
@ravener96@jeremysmiles if dealing with consequences means a million dead iraqis sure. wouldn’t it have been much better to just avoid US interference all together? can you really not see the timeline of constant US interference leading to consequences here (one of which being 9/11)
@ravener96@jeremysmiles because we directly caused the threat that “justified” intervention in the iraq-iran war which directly caused the threat that “justified” intervention in the gulf war can you really not see the pattern of consequences following US intervention
@ravener96@jeremysmiles im referring to when the US funded iraq during the iraq-iran war to prevent the regional dominance of iran because of their islamic republic which only existed because we replaced a democratically elected leader with a brutal dictator who was then overthrown by the islamic revolt
@ravener96@jeremysmiles to prevent the regional dominance of the islamic republic: that only exists because we overthrew their democratically elected PM and replaced him with a dictator whose brutal rule led to the islamic revolution. see how all of these consequences come from prior interference.
@ravener96@jeremysmiles he was the same during the iran-iraq war, we chose to ignore it and embolden him to favor our interests. regardless the US had no business interfering in either conflict, especially if they had the best interests of our citizens in mind.
