I haven’t tweeted in a while. It’s nice to post insightful reading research and gain many likes. But I’ve found that preaching to the choir doesn’t always gain results. I’ve been working with students and parents instead of tweeting, and I find that equally rewarding. 🙂

Transforming education needs to include a discussion about flexible pacing guides & grade-level expectations. We are expecting kids to learn on our timetable, and we are leaving kids behind just because they need more practice and repetition to obtain mastery. Shame on us.

Some Americans must seem ignorant to the rest of the world when they see fighting at school board mtgs about issues that are obviously misunderstand. Adults must learn to read complex text and think critically about what they have read instead of being led by fear and emotions.
