I'm a huge proponent of adult beach pops -- but then I see the crap left behind by some selfish idiots and I am reminded why we can't have nice things.
Pleased to report the Canadian Transportation Agency is actively looking into the claims myself and others have lodged against @WestJet for their baggage fee charges in US currency. Check your etickets for rules mine clearly states the currency is CAD.
the president/ceo of Alaska Airlines is sitting next to me on this flight from Atlanta to Seattle, nice dude. gave up his first class seat to a random gentleman
Thanks for looking into this further @CBCNews and comparing the practices of our airlines.
It's just gouging': WestJet charges $30 checked bag fee in US dollars, sparking complaints | CBC News https://t.co/r3N3OIRZmg
Not a good week for passenger rights and good business ethics for Canada’s Airlines...
Air Canada reneges on $800 deal after passenger volunteers seat on overcrowded flight | CBC News https://t.co/OU6RmazEVp
It is definitely something people should factor into their decisions. We had several bags as we were getting married and specifically chose @westjet over @AlaskaAir b/c fees would be charged in CDN$
It is not about “cheaper tickets” it is the principle of charging in USD from a country where USD is not the currency and operator is a Canadian company charging CDN taxes. @westjet continues to make excuses that this is the norm but @CBCNews story points out that is not the case
@JPerih@WestJet But the fuel in your plane to return home was probably not from Canada. Consumers want cheaper airline ticket prices, the costs to operate a flight have to be assessed with fees.
... /2 @WestJet@WestJet@Jperih @cannabianski @Thevannatea so why pay additional fees for luggage on the return flight. Your customers can protest and boycott your organization. Industry standards (excuse).Management, please do the right thing. 😊
