You're not jazzed about Biden's drug war or immigration promises, are you? Of course not. Because he's a liar too.

Politicians often campaign as libertarians, bringing our desires to the center of attention for a bit, teasing us, and then bailing out the instant the inauguration has commenced.

It should be noted that this is actually shifting the window further away. They say they'll be nice for one year, beat you over the head for three years, and then the next year say that they'll only beat your backs instead of your heads. Then it gets worse and worse.

Do not celebrate when these abusers pretend to put your issues at the forefront. This is part of their strategy to make you go along with the beatings.

We can take a "believe it when we see it" approach. Leave the avenue open for them to tell the truth. But it's time to stop helping them in the hopes that, this time, it's for realsies.

Talk to therapists about how to handle chronic liars and you'll see where I'm coming from.
