@JackPosobiec You obviously don't know Jack about the sport or how badly 3/4 inch metal spikes can feel ripping into a thin material boot.
Try it and see if you squeal or not Jack.
@FIFAcom@FIFAWorldCup IMO, the one who doesn't care about and plays for passion of the game. Both brilliant footballers. It is a cool record both deserve the praise but even if it is broken they have already cemented themselves as greats.
Out of this world Taylor? That first touch is pure class. For a footballer's brain to take that ball down like that and then still have the composure is not normal. His brain is able to slow the game down or see things a second or two faster than other. Only explanation I can come up with.
@ESPNFC Take it from ome of the greatest players and coaches of all time. Oh who happens to be the father of the goal kepper who got 3 put past him. No red .

Zinedine Zidane on the Lionel Messi red card controversy vs Algeria:
๐ฃ๏ธ โI have watched the incident involving Lionel Messi several times now, from different angles, and I honestly don't understand how some people are calling for a red card.โ
โYes, there is contact. Nobody is denying that. But football is a contact sport, and not every collision automatically becomes a sending-off just because social media wants a bigger story.โ
โWhat disappoints me is that people are spending more time talking about one accidental moment than talking about the football masterpiece Messi produced over ninety minutes.โ
โA player scores a hat-trick, breaks records, dominates a World Cup match, and somehow the conversation becomes a challenge that lasted a few seconds. That tells you everything.โ
โFor me, intent matters. Context matters. The speed of the action matters. And when I look at the incident, I see a football action, not a player trying to hurt an opponent.โ
โI think some people had already made up their minds before the replay was even shown. If that same incident involved another player, I don't believe we would still be discussing it hours later.โ
โThe truth is simple: Messi didn't escape a red card. There was no red card to escape. The referee saw it, VAR checked it, and they reached the same conclusion.โ
โInstead of searching for controversy, maybe we should appreciate what we witnessed tonight one of the greatest players in football history delivering another unforgettable World Cup performance.โ
