BREAKING: A bombshell U.S. intelligence agency report leaks, destroying the fundamental lie underpinning Donald Trump's entire mass deportation operation.

Drawing on information and expertise from 18 different intelligence agencies in a secret study, the National Intelligence Council has concluded that the Venezuelan government is not directing a covert "invasion" of the United States using the criminal gang Tren de Aragua — directly contradicting Trump's claims.

The Washington Post spoke with "people familiar with the matter" to confirm.

Trump previously claimed that Tren de Aragua is orchestrating am "invasion" of the United States "at the direction" of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, a favorite bugaboo of American right-wingers.

Using that fabricated conspiracy theory, Trump invoked the 1798 Alien Enemies Act to justify his mass deportations of alleged gang members. The law was last invoked during WW2 and led to the cruel interment of some 110,000 Japanese Americans.

It was the invocation of the Alien Enemies Act that led to Trump illegally deporting planes full of people — many of them innocent — to a brutal megaprison in El Salvador.

The new intelligence assessment asserts that Tren de Aragua does not operate on the orders of the Venezuelan government and the findings were nearly unanimous.

"The idea that Maduro is directing Tren de Aragua members and sending criminals to infiltrate the United States is ludicrous," Geoff Ramsey, an expert on Venezuela at the Atlantic Council, told The Washington Post.

"Tren de Aragua has become more like a brand that any group of carjackers from Miami down to Argentina can invoke to further their criminal activity, but there’s really no clear sense of hierarchy," he continued.

"And the reality is that Tren de Aragua has not always gotten along with the Maduro government: We saw just a few years ago, the military in 2023, stormed a prison that Tren de Aragua controlled and allegedly carried out extrajudicial executions," he added.

As usual, we see that MAGA policy is built on a haphazardly arrayed pyramid of lies. No serious person believes a word that comes out of Donald Trump's mouth at this point.

BREAKING: Democratic star Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez obliterates the Republicans' hack witness during a hearing for the sham Biden impeachment inquiry.

This is one for the books...

"I have a quick question. Simple. Is it your testimony today that you personally witnessed President Joe Biden commit a crime?" AOC asked Tony Bobulinski, a former associate of Hunter Biden who has been doing MAGA's bidding.

"I believe the fact that he was sitting with me while I was putting together a business deal..." began Bobulinski.

"Did you witness the president commit a crime? Is it your testimony?" interjected AOC.

"Yes," said Bobulinski.

"And what crime have you witnessed?" asked AOC.

"How much time do I have to go through it?" he responded, evading the question.

"It is simple: you name the crime," she responded. "Did you watch him steal something?"

"Corruption statutes, RICO conspiracy, FARA..." he rambled, without offering any details.

"What is the crime sir? Specifically!" she said.

"You asked me to answer the question, I answered the question," whined Bobulinski, who had not answered the question. "RICO, you're obviously not familiar with, corruption statutes..."

"Excuse me sir! Excuse me sir. Excuse me sir," said AOC. "RICO is not a crime, it is a category. What is the crime?"

Bobulinski then whined, rambled, and dissembled without providing a specific crime. As usual, Republicans want to rely on vague assertions to do their dirty PR work. AOC reclaimed her time and then tore into the entire inquiry.

"Clearly, what we are seeing here today is a continuation of the fifteen month saga of the Republican majority lost in the desert," said AOC. "Impeachment 101, the majority party or whomever is raising impeachment must accuse the president of a high crime, a specific high crime or misdemeanor."

During another stretch of the hearing, AOC voiced the same issue—

"At this point, the story isn’t the fact that the basis of this impeachment inquiry is wrong. The story is, ‘Why it is proceeding anyway?’" she asked, pointing out that there are "no charges" on the table.

"I have yet to hear in the chairman’s opening the allegation that they are specifically charging the president of the United States with," she went on. "I am hearing about the ‘Biden family.’ I am hearing about this and that. I am not hearing the specific allegation by this committee. What is it? It is not here. And that is the problem."

“The story is when this committee knew they were working with falsified evidence? That is the story," she added.

Well said congresswoman! This impeachment inquiry is an utter disgrace and a complete waste of taxpayer dollars. All that it proves is that Republicans have nothing to hit President Biden on. The sooner it concludes, the better.

There is so much misinformation being pushed about immigration here on X from people saying "We Stand with Texas and their National Guard".

Before you chime in with what you think "Biden should do" perhaps you should understand the actual legal process that The Refugee Act of 1980 says must take place:

Once any immigrant steps foot in the US and claims that they are seeking asylum because their life is in danger (Regardless of if there is razor wire in front of them or not) the following process MUST take place (pictured below). There is not a way around it unless the laws are rewritten, not by Joe Biden, but by Democrats and Republicans in Congress.

Please read and understand the process before saying "We must push these people back over the border or immediately deport them. That view just shows your ignorance to our laws.

So now, let's get back to Texas. The razor wire was installed in US territory. That means that when immigrants come over, they are already on US soil and the Razor wire merely prevents Homeland Security from apprehending them on US soil. These immigrants still have to go through the exact same process as anyone else who is apprehended on US soil. If you truly want to stop these people you need to stop them in Mexico before they set foot on US land, or rewrite the Refugee Act of 1980, which would then push actually asylum seekers to the side.

I know I will still get a bunch of people replying here suggesting that Biden should forced the border patrol agents to do things that are illegal, but I will only assume that you didn't read the flow chart above, which is based off of the Refugee Act of 1980.
