Another great day at work. I'm lucky to work for a Governor who understands and supports Harm Reduction. Thanks to @NJHarmReduction and your partners for all of your work to get this over the finish line.
Today, I signed a legislative package to expand harm reduction efforts. These bills will strengthen our ability to save lives and further our commitment to ending the opioid crisis in New Jersey.
Today @GovMurphy became the first New Jersey governor to mention harm reduction in the #NJSOTS address.
And these words are backed by action.
@GovMurphy, thank you for investing in & supporting harm reduction.
A bill to codify a woman's right to choose into state law and expand access to reproductive health care for all just passed both houses of the Legislature.
I will sign this bill into law this week. With Roe v. Wade under attack, the need for this bill is more urgent than ever.
President Biden quietly extended a policy that critics call a betrayal of his campaign promise to end mandatory minimum sentences. The measure could land more low-level drug dealers in prison for longer and with less proof than is usually required. https://t.co/6O0ZE0VTHM
Survivors are not your props. We are not your political pawns. To use me as such, without my consent, is disrespecting survivors. It is disrespecting women. Take note @Jack4NJ and Diane Allen.

Stray Census thought #2: It's not enough to say NJ is getting more diverse. The diversity is also more complex than simpler racial categories, and that complexity may also create unpredictable results.
