I just played my first round of golf in an Audere polo. First samples are in my hands. After all the talk, I finally wore the thing I have been building.

So let me reintroduce myself.

Nine years in the Marine Corps, half of which as a Marine Raider, taught me what real performance fabric is. Then I walked into a pro shop and saw nothing but polyester. Childish logos, mystery blends, premium prices on a $12 shirt. They hoped we were too stupid to notice.

So I built the polo that should already exist.

I wore merino wool in some of the most demanding environments imaginable. Unstoppable base layer in the mountains. Heat regulation in Somalia. The best fabric on the planet, and somehow nobody made it right for golf. The other merino polos out there come from fashion, outdoor, or "one-bag" travel brands. I have tried them all. Too short, too tight, bad collar. So I started from scratch. Audere is the thing I was finally proud to build with my name on it.

I'm @lnclaudwetrust. My day job is designing AR products at @anduriltech.

My kids are going to watch me build this. They will pack your orders, or ride along on delivery runs (child labor laws be damned). In 100 years, I want my grandkids running Audere and re-releasing this year's first shirt as a heritage piece.
