🇨🇦 Universal health care is a fundamental Canadian value.⚕️
It's what makes Canada stronger.
It makes our Canadian economy more competitive.
And Canadians live longer than Americans.
The case for investing in healthcare is clear. It’s at the core of why we love our country so much. 🍁
📍Premiers’ Meeting
The pandemic is not over! And those are neck gators that offer zero protection from airborne viruses. Wear a n95, kn95, or kf94 respirator mask to protect your health. Wear a neck gator to protect your identity. Not the same! #MaskUp#CovidIsNotOver
😷 BREAKING🚨
Canada launches a new National Advisory Committee on Preventive Health Services.
It will be chaired by Dr. David Keegan, a leading advocate for masks in healthcare and on airplanes who filed human rights litigation on both fronts.
Treating shared public goods that are HUMAN RIGHTS for everyone, like healthcare and education, as consumer choices is very cruel.
Desperate ordinary people will go bankrupt. Rich people will continue to rich.

He’s also incorrect re those fighting against for-profit healthcare are arguing two sides.
Simply, pub healthcare is struggling because govt isn’t funding it (despite them finding $$$ to fund for-profit versions).
The pub system CAN be great, we just need a govt that wants it.
You have an incredible opportunity and responsibility here, @avilewis
Your wife once told me to stay brave.
I am asking the same of you.
SARS-CoV-2 continues to kill and disable.
Every single person you represent is at high risk of eventual complications.
Fight for us.

Why are we tolerating air quality that keeps making us sick in the spaces we work, send our kids to learn & get healthcare?
We legislate clean water for health. We regulate clean food for health.
Call your legislators & demand indoor air quality for HEALTH.👇
“It’s difficult to know why the word “airborne” is avoided so consistently, but the impact is clear: without that word, OH&S requirements can be evaded.”
Without that word, employers aren’t required to provide clean air & employees can be blamed for infection.
@HospEmpUnion
Without that word, “airborne”, CPHO/CMOH/PHO can keep on harming those they should be protecting while continuing to add awards to their collection.
This is public health failure!

Medicine doesn’t just resist change, it attacks it.
Dr Semmelweis was destroyed by his colleagues over handwashing.
Today, healthcare workers are actively rejecting clean air policies.
Many women are still dismissed under recycled “hysteria.”
This isn’t rare - it’s systemic.
People cling to incorrect beliefs even if given clear evidence to the contrary
That's why healthcare workers "continue to wear inadequate medical masks or no masks at all"
--most people are not bothered by this
because they don't want to wear one either

21% reduction in staff and student illness in this Hampshire school. The impact of clean air on student learning and well-being is significant. @PaulCalandra check this out! https://t.co/0WeYNpBmbH
