I usually don’t engage with this level of intellectual laziness, but every time you post something like this, it demands a response, not out of outrage, but because silence lets misinformation fester.

You parrot the rhetoric of Western liberalism while conveniently ignoring the fact that Islamic governance, when applied authentically, not distorted by monarchies, dictatorships, or foreign interference, was once the foundation of one of the most just and enlightened civilizations in human history.

To call political Islam “dangerous” is not only ahistorical, it’s deeply dishonest. Islam is not a weekend religion. It’s a complete way of life, spiritually, morally, economically, and yes, politically. The Prophet ﷺ was not just a spiritual figure; he was a head of state, a judge, a military leader. He didn’t separate mosque from governance, he embodied both.

You act like “democracy” is some neutral good, but how many democracies have bombed Muslim nations, funded apartheid, and backed dictators under the guise of “freedom”? Western secularism doesn’t free us, it domesticates us. It ruins the very fabric of society. What you’re really advocating is submission to colonial constructs and global capital, not liberation.

You say “political Islam replaces democracy with ideology.” But democracy is an ideology, one often weaponized to suppress Islamic values and sovereignty. Islam’s political framework, rooted in justice (adl), consultation (shura), and accountability, isn’t about control, it’s about moral governance. And if applied correctly and in its true essence, it gave the world welfare before socialism, rule of law before liberalism, and rights for women when the world was burning them alive.

Your fear isn’t about extremism, it’s about Muslim self-determination. Political Islam doesn’t threaten stability; it threatens dependency. It breaks the chain that links our future to Washington, London, and Tel Aviv.

So let’s be clear: You’re not critiquing oppression. You’re defending it in a prettier package.

Political Islam is not the enemy. It’s the antidote if applied correctly. And you should be ashamed for siding with the disease.

The magnitude of what just happened may take some time to sink in.

This is the first time Iran has struck Israel after Israel struck another country's territory (that is, not Iran).

This means that the battle lines have been moved.

Iran's deterrence had already been restored in the sense that Israel knew that any strike on it would be responded to.

But now, Iran has proven that it will also respond to Israeli strikes on Lebanon.

This is the first time in decades that a regional power has the means, capacity, and willingness to put hard power against Israeli military maneuvers or aggression against a third party.
