This bothers me. These kids are 3-4 years away from being able to kid pitch baseball that actually looks like baseball. They are being robbed of a fun youth baseball experience.
They don’t need to be playing machine pitch. They don’t need to be playing coach pitch. They need to be playing T-ball!
The worst part is… This is going on in hundreds of thousands of communities across the US. Misguided rec league boards and parents pushing their kids to play kid pitch too early because they think it’s what’s best for their development. Super frustrating to see.
Can someone make me feel better and tell me this is AI? Hope so.
First ever series win vs USAO. First ever series win vs Wayland Baptist. First ever series win vs MACU. First ever series win vs SW Christian. First time making the SAC Tournament. First time hosting the SAC Tournament first round. 6-3 in conference series. Set a new standard.
Rehearsal swings are one of my favorites.
How we do it:
1. Feel the contact position you want
2. Reverse back to ready position
3. Time it up
4. Let it fly
The hitters who win aren't the ones who listened to everyone.
They're the ones who figured out who to stop listening to.
Tune out to lock in.
(Kevin McGonigle told me this exact thing, too)
The move you see with good hitters.
Last year he didn't do this.
Starting more closed than previous years.
Also, a better coil and load in 2026, data proves it
Looks to have added confidence paired up with this
The best aren't afraid to get weird.
I've been around some of the best hitters and hitting coaches in the game..
And none of them are scared to over-exaggerate a move to over-correct a swing.
(Some of it would get crucified on social media. We've seen Mookie's drills)
And the ones that ARE scared.. Never correct what needed enough so the issue keeps being an issue.
Does it help score more runs? That's what matters.
The ONLY thing that matters is if it works under pressure.
The longer I've been in this, the more open I've gotten.
If it works, or even might work, let's try it.
Because I've seen it too many times to count. The thing you never thought would click... clicks.
The Oxford comma (also known as the ‘serial comma’) is the comma that separates the second to last item in a list from a final item that is introduced by ‘and’ or ‘or.’
It is optional...but be aware that not using the serial comma can result in some ambiguity.
