So, Trent Hidlay vs Mike Macch for the World Team spot is being moved from the Final X date on June 19th.
@MatScouts1 talked about it on @baschamania today & I talked to Macch after. He said they're working on rescheduling it for either the week before or after Final X.
Trent's wedding is the same weekend as Final X, and Mike will actually also be in attendance. As of now, no date confirmed.
@GLpodcast The gentleman that owns one of the larger car dealerships in town flys his float plane around the lake all summer - not sure how that’s less disturbing . . .
In the 2018 NCAA finals at 141lbs, true freshman Yianni Diakomihalis defeated top-seeded senior Bryce Meredith 7-4 to win his first national title.
Trailing 4-3 late in the match, Yianni secured a takedown and two near-fall points with a cradle in the final 12 seconds.
Many call this one of the best NCAA matches in recent memory, do you agree?
@dbeshada1@MatScouts1@baschamania Seems like many are saying he receives TWO sets of raction time - Once, when Max gets behind him and the right hand isn't quite up yet, and 2nd when the shoulders hit the ground he's supposed to get ANOTHER second?
@JSowers21@JustinJBasch This is where you see that he’s still a kid (especially up at 65KG). That guy had man strength and Marcus wasn’t able to utilize his ties and push him around.
He’s got amazing skills but that guy was strong enough to hold position. Frankly, he should have been put on the clock.
I think they're going to need a few more tools - PSU is still going to be tough to beat, Nebraska and OkSt. aren't going anywhere - regardless - good for the sport to have a little more parity!
