Rural homelessness has a particular brutality.
There's no shelters here. Towns wont allow it. Everything revolves around appeasing tourism & property values.
Get caught & you're arrested &/or shipped 100 miles away to the city shelters.
This makes any intervention difficult.

Dropped off gas cards before the storm to folks we work with regularly who are forced to live in their cars and it's always tough.
Our members have all been homeless at some point, forced to live in a car, tent, hallway, etc.
We help the people because we are the people.
