Big thanks to the @Padres for the BP access today for Camden Clabough and @AsherLegend, classmates at @futures_tc. Cam is one of the top youth pitchers in the US (throws 85, and has a seven pitch mix). Asher is my son and hits bombs. Go Pads!

The ‘84 CS at The Murph vs the Cubs was the loudest place I'd ever been (as a nine-year-old) when Garvey took Lee Smith over the right center field wall. It has only been topped by this night at Petco Park on October 15, 2022 when Jacob the Dragon Slayer bested Alex Vesia during our five-run 7th against the 111-win dodger team. Peter’s vision for the team and city was realized; and "One day soon, the baseball gods will smile on the San Diego Padres, and we will have a parade.”

I thought Castellanos would get the start versus the best lefty on the planet, but I suspect it’s the honor due to Sheets (who I LOVE) on #OpeningDay, I do hear he’s the glue between the guys in our clubhouse. Everyone loves him. May he take him deep.

Also, I don’t know when but karma is coming for Skubal for throwing 61 pitches in a meaningless ST game the day before Skenes took the bump for the USA 🇺🇸 in the WBC. He made it worse by showing up in the USA hockey jersey. You abandon your teammates then show up and stand in the dugout? No thanks. May karma come today. Go Pads.
