@TheBrattPack63 I wanted them to build an arena district on the old Johnson & Johnson site in North Brunswick, but they’d never leave North Jersey.
@jrdroge25@AATJerseyBlog@jp_gambatese I doubt they would put Command in the AHL this year. He was playing in a low league and is a summer birthday. He just turned 18. I’d assume he plays SHL. Is he US university eligible?
@LockedOnDevils I think a lot of people forget this team was in first place until Jack’s injury combined with a bunch more derailed the season. If we had the depth last season we will be going in with next year, things could’ve gone very differently.
@AlexC_NJD Part of this is probably that one of Sunny’s goals seems to be to put a contender on the ice in Utica. Just as Florida and Carolina have done in the AHL. They’re willing to pay to play meaningful games on the farm.
@HockeyROI@reporterchris The Devils go from having no center depth, so when Jack Hughes gets hurt, they have no one to play. To having one of the deepest groups in the league.
@JamesNicholsNHL I think Sunny will move Bjugstad, Noesen, and someone on the backend like Dillon. The trade protection isn’t too severe. He can keep improving.
A (not so) little thing that Sunny seems to be focusing on is adding quality players for Utica. AHL affiliates of Carolina and Florida keep contending for championships. Breeds a winning culture.
@Saturn8601@JMC9787 I don’t doubt that. And I can see him in Minny long term. But why not play the season out, dip toes into free agency for the first time, and then re-sign. Next summer. Especially if there’s no intention to sign an 8 year deal.
@NUCLRGOLF Badges for life. It’s such an incredible place. I wish I could win tickets every year. I’d rather experience that dozens of times vs shooting 120 with some random member.
