As a class we are going to use Twitter to link help videos you use at home for classwork or homework. I want students to take advantage of this so I am willing to offer a small amount of extra credit if you post at least a video per week. Use the hashtags #LinnAlg1

@MrsThrush17 I think for me it is exactly the opposite, many of my students like using the videos, it gives them something to revert back to... Although lower level students are very much against video learning ... #EDU903
@jksuter No Selfies in 634... They always hate when i say that. Why is it so interesting to watch someone play a Game ? that is the one I can't relate to... And then I realize this is why they are missing 4 assignments. #EDU903
I think this is the biggest thing that scares about flipping my classroom from time to time. How do you manage all of the different steps. Even though this a fear it make sense to benefit each different type of learner I will have in my classroom! #EDU903
Some days we take different paths to our destination. Some Ss felt prepared to quiz, others completed a retake after they completed remediation when the quiz didn't go as planned, others who already mastered it researched some info for the next part of our unit. #flippedClass
@jksuter I like the idea of placing the responsibility on the students, however, with some students I am more invested in them passing my class than they are in themselves. #EDU903
@Mrs_T_teaches This is a problem i worry about with my high school kids as well. Some students are on the edge of passing a class they need to graduate and then they turn in something way over their heads How do you combat that?#EDU903
@Mrs_T_teaches I think this is often the misconception that drives me up the wall. People view it is just videos and they underestimate the power and effectiveness those videos hold. #EDU903
@Mrs_T_teaches I teach in a 1to1 school and we still have this problem, I have found leaving about 15 minutes of class time as a free time for them helps. For the students who don't have access to the internet I encourage them to download the materials if they can, or watch the video #EDU903
@Mrs_T_teaches I think this is the biggest thing for me, As a Math teacher, students are able to pause examples and rewind if there is something that doesn't make sense to them right away #EDU903
