@airindia Flight was on schedule, taking off and landing right on time! The in-flight crew were super friendly and provided top-notch hospitality. The food was delicious, but I wish they'd served a bit more - portion sizes were a tad small.

**The Sequence of Events:**

1. The officer had to take emergency leave, booked a ticket, and arrived at the airport.
2. At the check-in counter, he had only one bag and received his boarding pass. He requested to carry it as hand baggage and received confirmation from the check-in staff.
3. As boarding began, he was stopped and asked to pay for excess weight. He explained that he had only one bag and referred to the confirmation he received from the check-in counter.
4. With boarding about to close, he felt humiliated by the extortionate behavior of the staff, who were not only rude but also misbehaved.
5. Dont we know that larger hand baggage has been allowed by airlines than the officer carried, and that airlines permit this to save time at the check-in counter and cut costs on baggage handling.
6. While i cannot confirm it, there are rumors that local staff at Srinagar Airport harbor an inherent bias against the army, for obvious reasons.
