@SarahChampionMP given that you are standing to represent people of diversity - can you confirm that @thetimes (July25) fabricated story against us resulting in 100+ death & rape threats & in that context why you chose to remain silent. 1/12 @BBCLookNorth@LabourParty
I mean, how fucking dare people take survivors horrific ordeal of child abuse, the worst trauma in their lives and twist it to push an agenda about race & immigration. Its actually sick. How dare you only care about attacks from 'muslims' & not fussed about others #CSE#CSA
The Home Office review on "grooming gangs" finally published concludes:
1. “links between ethnicity and this form of offending” could not be proven
2. “Research has found that group-based child sexual exploitation (CSE) offenders are most commonly white"

.@BBCNews@BBCPolitics I love my sister @MarshadeCordova but we are two different people. Marsha is amazing and deserves to be called by her own name. Diversity in the workplace matters it also helps to avoid making simple mistakes like this.
Glad to see @EasternEye cover our new article & highlight the dangers of a narrow lens on race. We need a more nuanced, evidence-based approach to addressing *all child sexual abuse*. https://t.co/6G4hfXZgI6
Contrary to media perceptions black ppl use drugs less than white ppl. And yet black ppl are 6x more likely to be stopped & searched for drugs vs white ppl and ~2.5 times more likely to receive a prison sentence. Where is the justice for BME ppl in the criminal justice system?
There is a prevalent (mis)perception that BME ppl are more likely to be involved in crime so racial inequalities in the criminal justice system are merely a reflection of this. But when it comes to the link btwn race and crime it's not that straightforward https://t.co/WnAffSZ22B
Read this legal document from #Meghan's case against the @DailyMailUK group. It describes nine stories among many in a campaign of vilification against her. Just one selection from just one newspaper group. A monstering.

So often academic papers languish behind paywalls so it’s *really* nice to see that people are downloading (>1,200 in two days, eek!) & talking about mine & @_WaqasTufail ‘s article on the ‘Muslim grooming gangs’ narrative. Available free on @Race_Class : https://t.co/sePSK1Ta2l
A general warning on this day of #HarryandMeghan fuss: take everything you read that comes from the UK national press with a pinch of salt. They are not impartial or honest observers in this; they are determined to break this royal marriage to a woman of colour... (Thread)
Of course Meghan Markle is attacked by the British press because she's black, and of course Prince Harry is right to defend her. What a foul country this is.
It's a low bar for anti-racism to argue that "we are so not bad as others". And it denies and negates BME ppl's lived experience of racism. Research and stats show that there continues to be a significant level of racism in Britain which prevents a level-playing field for BME ppl
@BegumNadiya We love your work...we ask you to seriously consider if "Empire" is in anyway an honour. Wouldn't it be great to lobby those in power to bring forward an honours system - particularly for BAME people that isn't rooted in colonialism, imperialism.. and the horrors of Empire..
