They were trying to cook me in the replies

[JV @JVSwaps]

If Kirk Cousins hits free agency, I'd be interested in the Vikings adding Sam Darnold as a bridge QB. He was Shanahan's priority FA last year and sets a good bar for a rookie QB to clear.

@eastgorteau Welcome back

[JV @JVSwaps]

@eastgorteau I hope you're doing ok!

[JV @JVSwaps]

@Marcus_Mosher I don't disagree. Special coaches attract + develop talent. They're essential to a good defense.

In the Vikings case specifically, I'd argue that Flores' reputation can keep people from recognizing the talent of the players though. Redmond and Turner are pretty good!!

[JV @JVSwaps]

I don't like your tone.

[Marcus Mosher @Marcus_Mosher]

Disagree!

How many stars does Brian Flores have in Minnesota right now?

He has the No. 1 defense by a mile and they might not have a single All-Pro defender on that side of the ball.

[JV @JVSwaps]

Brian Flores is a genius who can identify/utilize talent in a way that most coaches can't, but I don't think it's fair to the players to frame them as a collection of bums. They have a lot of talent!!

[JV @JVSwaps]

@eastgorteau I'm seeing a lot of "5-0 has never felt worse" as if an elite defense isn't the best way to win meaningful football games? This doesn't feel bad at all! This is good!!

[JV @JVSwaps]

Having the league's best defense is awesome and the offense is clearly settling into a balanced rhythm.

Enough whining about the weird start. This is a really good Vikings team.

[JV @JVSwaps]

@BryanWilliWally You can nitpick any coach. It hasn't all been great but it's obviously been good.

[JV @JVSwaps]

@NicholasMMiller "4 weeks"

[Tej Seth @tejfbanalytics]

The gap between the Vikings defense at #1 and Seahawks defense at #2 is the same as the gap between #2 and the Bengals defense at #14

[JV @JVSwaps]

@eastgorteau Bingo

[JV @JVSwaps]

@DietBeginsMon They did exactly what you wanted and you're wondering why whining was lame? Probably because whining about everything is lame. Especially the coach and GM taking a walk (which is what this conversation was about, not Randle lol)

[JV @JVSwaps]

@DietBeginsMon You were whining and crying for weeks about a situation that got resolved very quickly. The offseason is now over. How'd they do? Pretty good I think! Maybe next year you'll wait until the offseason actually happens before you declare it dead on impact

[JV @JVSwaps]

@DietBeginsMon Revising old tweets when people overreacted to the offseason before it started. Maybe next time you'll wait to see how it plays out like the rest of us!

[JV @JVSwaps]

@DietBeginsMon I wonder if you'll ever learn

[JV @JVSwaps]

Welcome back 2016 Vikings

[Will Ragatz @WillRagatz]

Donovan Jackson is likely out for the season with a meniscus tear, per KOC. Brutal blow for the Vikings.

Christian Darrisaw is in the concussion protocol.

[JV @JVSwaps]

I think Kyler Murray will play better with Justin Jefferson. It's hard not to get excited about that.

[JV @JVSwaps]

@allthingsmn You're not talking about adding another Jordan Mason caliber player though, right? They're missing a workhorse. JT, Breece...?
