1️⃣ Start with the fundamental question
Perioperative AC is about preventing two dangers
• Surgical bleeding
• Thrombosis when AC is stopped
Every patient needs BOTH risks assessed before making any move.

🧬 #ICML18 | Role of Auto/Allo-HCT in Burkitt Lymphoma (EBMT Registry)
👨⚕️ By Dr. Lorenzo Falchi, Dr. Aljurf et al.
⸻
🔹 Background
•HCT not routinely used 1st-line in Burkitt lymphoma (BL)
•r/r BL has poor prognosis 🧨
•Auto-HCT: bridge or remission deepening
•Allo-HCT: typically in CR≥2
•📉 Limited, outdated data on HCT in BL
⸻
👥 Patient Characteristics (N=1200)
•Auto-HCT: n=958 | Allo-HCT: n=242
•CR1/PR1 at transplant: 61%
•Time to HCT longer in Allo (9.4 mo) vs Auto (7 mo) ⏳
•Allo-HCT had higher rates of no response (37%)
•Median age: Allo 37.6y vs Auto 42y
•23% of Allo were post-Auto salvage
⸻
🧪 Conditioning (Auto-HCT)
•🧱 Most common: BEAM-like (69%)
•Bu-based in 6%, TBI in 10.2%
•Thiotepa-containing: 9.3% overall
→ More frequent in CR2/PR2 (16.1%) vs CR1 (7.3%)
⸻
📈 Median Follow-up
•Overall: 5 years
•CR1/Auto: 5.4y
•CR2/Allo: 7.4y ⬆️
•No response/Allo: 3.1y
•Note: Follow-up censored at 3 years due to heterogeneity
⸻

Kate Cwynarski @CwynKate@uclh presents 7-year follow-up results from the phase II MARIETTA trial of multi-agent chemotherapy with MATRix and R-ICE followed by TT-ASCT in patients with SCNSL (N = 75).
Long-term follow-up results demonstrate durable remissions (7-year PFS, 64%) in patients who proceeded to TT-ASCT. The 7-year PFS rates were 52%, 33%, and 11% for patients with de novo SCNSL, isolated CNS relapse, and synchronous CNS relapse, respectively.

Paul Barr shares the final analysis from the phase II CAPTIVATE study of fixed-duration ibrutinib plus venetoclax for CLL/SLL. 5-year PFS in total cohort 66% and in del(17p)/TP53 mutations 36%. OS in total cohort 97%. After 5.5 years PD observed in 32%. 73% of patients remained treatment free from next-line treatment.

Pier Luigi Zinzani shares the results from the ECHO trial, with a focus on MRD with bendamustine-rituximab ± acalabrutinib in patients with previously untreated #MantleCellLymphoma. Achieving MRD negativity was associated with improved PFS, OS, and was a stronger prognostic indicator of outcomes than response. TP53 mutation was a risk factor for MRD positivity.
