@MOH_Kenya Is preventive and promotive health included? If so, prioritize public health graduates from University and medical training colleges. We are trained in primary care but it seems it we have been ignored completely. Prioritise prevention and all health woes will reduce.

United Arab Emirates is 52 years old. Kenya celebrates 60 years of Independence tomorrow. You can see the stark difference between those who are led by leaders, and those of us governed by thieves. It's not about Dubai‘s oil because the 14 million tourists who visited Dubai last year didn't come to see the oil fields. Singapore doesn't have oil. In 2019 alone, Singapore received 19 million tourists. The numbers have since gone down because of the Covid-19 pandemic. That's a country that was way poorer than Kenya in 1963. Visionary leadership produces results. UAE is a desert, and their taps never go dry. Kenya has adequate rainfall, yet water rationing is the norm. They even grow food in the sandy soil in UAE using innovative farming methods. We aren't even food sufficient in spite of having millions of arable land, and good rainfall.

Mombasa just like Dubai is a port city, with good weather, food, and very welcoming people. It could be another Dubai, but it's just a big slum with some few fancy hotels, it's potential is rotting away slowly . The few young people who aren't hooked into drugs, are working in lowly-paying jobs or as fishermen, beach boys, and sex workers. Education levels are low, and the best-paying jobs in the coastal area are done by non-locals. That's what happens when you elect populist idiots to lead.
