Don’t be opening your hand for some people.

This person usually does 1GB to 2GB. There was an issue, so I called her on Sunday. All through the call, she kept saying she hadn’t gotten back to so-and-so because she had no data. I finally gave in, because she kept repeating it, and I was burning airtime while stuck on the call.

So I said, let me buy data for you so we can talk on WhatsApp. I did 10GB for her, ₦4,000. I had just ₦6,000 in my account. 😂

Left with ₦2,000 to manage the day. 😅

Last night I was trying to get a report or some kind of feedback, and all I kept hearing was “I no too get data.” I ignored it completely, because my blood was already boiling and I knew what that meant. Then she put her phone on airplane mode so the call wouldn’t connect properly, and that was how the conversation ended. I didn’t call back.

Nigerians need to stop treating kindness like an opening to exploit people.
You don’t know how it’s going for someone. Just because they show up a little doesn’t mean they have plenty. Some people inconvenience themselves to help, and that does not mean they are loaded.
