The Law
You don’t have law you have lawyers, you don’t have justice you have judges.

This is underpinned by one common flaw in our politics.

However, this doesn’t really cut it. Are you seriously suggesting as your analysis hints. That stopping some dinghies crossing the channel is above the capabilities of the Royal Navy.

There are some redlines here Ben, aren’t there?

1) The UK border is not up for negotiation.

2) How many UK civilians will you sacrifice per “asylum seeker” saved, as it is unquestionable that we have imported murders into the UK. The correct answer is zero.

If this means an uncomfortable standoff with France. Then the time has come to address that issue as the status quo is not acceptable.
