I’ve seen and heard a lot of stories from white female professors in academia upset about being confused for students when they are walking through their building or into their own classroom where they will be teaching. While I can understand that this must be demeaning,.. 1/7
We just don’t need police reform, we need human reform. I will never forget talking with a colleague who voiced how exhausting it is to be black. Our beautiful black skin – the subject of constant hate and discontent. Can we have the chance to live!!!!! https://t.co/NId0OoD51N
I know it's a drop in the bucket of what's needed but it heals my heart a bit to see the @MSU_MMG medical supply donations piling up after just a few hours notice 🥰
Gathering up #ShadeLab and #DufourLab contributions to add to the pile!! #spartanswill 💚

Walking and saw a student having difficulty getting up a hill. Watched >20 people pass; no one paused. As I approached, she said her wheelchair battery was nearly dead and it didn’t have enough power to get up the hill. Would the story differ if my legs gave out on the same hill?

Exactly. Yes, this. You got it. That's an affirmative. Absolutely, yes. Supported in the literature. Do you believe me now? Can we say "active learning" together? How many ways can I say yes?
Memorization is not in the top ten skills needed in 2020.
If school is about preparing students for the future, we need to shift our focus.
