**A Declaration of the People of the United States for the Restoration of Liberty and Accountability** When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for a people to dissolve the bonds of acquiescence to a government that has strayed from its sacred purpose, and to reclaim the liberties endowed by their Creator, a decent respect for the opinions of mankind requires that they declare the causes which impel them to such action. We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, among them Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness; that governments are instituted among men to secure these rights, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; that whenever any government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or reform it, and to institute new measures to ensure their Safety and Happiness. Prudence dictates that long-established systems should not be changed for light or transient causes; but when a long train of abuses and usurpations evinces a design to reduce the People under unchecked power, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such oppression and provide new Guards for their future security. Such has been the patient sufferance of these United States; and such is now the necessity which constrains us to address the manifold grievances inflicted by the Federal Government. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world: The Federal Government has amassed a national debt of unconscionable magnitude, burdening present and future generations with obligations they did not consent to, threatening the prosperity and security of the nation. It has engaged in profligate spending, marked by waste, fraud, and abuse, squandering the public treasury on endeavors that neither serve the common good nor reflect the will of the People. It has imposed regulations and mandates that encroach upon personal freedoms, stifling individual initiative, enterprise, and the sacred right to self-determination. It has expanded its authority beyond the bounds of its constitutional mandate, usurping powers reserved to the States and the People, thereby undermining the federal compact that binds this nation. It has neglected its duty to secure the borders, exposing the nation to threats both foreign and domestic, while failing to uphold the rule of law. It has pursued policies that erode the public trust, favoring special interests over the general welfare, and fostering division among the People. It has weaponized institutions meant to serve justice, turning them against citizens who exercise their rightful freedoms of speech, assembly, and belief. In every stage of these Oppressions, We have petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Government, whose character is thus marked by acts that betray its purpose, is unfit to command the allegiance of a free People. Nor have We been wanting in attention to our elected representatives. We have warned them from time to time of attempts to extend unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the principles upon which this nation was founded. We have appealed to their sense of justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations. They have been deaf to the voice of justice and consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity which compels us to declare our intent to hold them accountable and restore the proper balance of power. 1/2
