Social media brought awareness to ALS and taught me what it was. I remember scrolling down my feed and seeing people pouring buckets of ice on their heads. Some people would describe the disease in their caption and many big stars would donate thousands to the cause. #dcim353b
I create music and I just started a graphic design page on instagram. Graphic design is something new that I decided to work on to keep me busy this summer. I am also pretty active on twitter, snapchat, and instagram. #dcim353b
When I was working at Skyzone, we used to have physical "10 for 8 jumps" card. Then all of a sudden we stopped providing the cards and the number of jumps were computerized which made it harder for us workers because the jumper would have to have a valid waiver on file. #DCIM353b
@YutongSu2 True! When I first saw credits cards and things like apple pay, I felt like eventually there was going to be no more paper money. Things like that free up space in one's wallet but they may not be as safe as they seem.
@Daniel69661272 Interesting!! Drones can definitely be used in all aspects of life such as food, spying and recreational etc. I don't know that much about drones so I am interested to see how much of a disruption they have or will cause.
@BCheng1701 Smart technology is a great choice. Virtual assistants certainly has made life easier in some cases and there are also some downfalls to it too. Im interested to see what you will write about.
For the emerging digital tech project I will focus on Implantable nanochips. I feel like these chips will have so many advantages as well as disadvantages in the future. I also want to find out how much of a disruption it will cause. #dcim353b
@911gers I feel like LinkedIn did create a disruptive change because its has allowed people to find jobs through their connections, connect with others and allows for endorsements. The disruption isn't negative but it provides many resources and recruitment.
@GabrielRQueved1 It seems like the end result is more important than taking the time out to reading the contract. I feel like when people want to start something like a twitter, they want to sign up regardless of a contract. I guess it saves them time just not reading it.Too bad there's a price.
@RichardNi1997 True, a lot of people don't feel comfortable saying certain things a person but feel comfortable enough to say them online. It basically takes away from the awkward feeling and any social anxiety they have when talking to someone in person rather than being protected by a screen.
Social media has allowed for the use of hashtags in order to find other people that have a certain thing in common. We can click the hashtags that are trending to see a larger ongoing conversation about a topic. We can get more diverse opinions than in person. #DCIM353b
I remember signing up for fb, myspace and basically any social media site I can find but I did it with my brother's birth year because i was too young. Once my family found out, I got in trouble and had to delete everything. I finally got a fb back a year or 2 later. #dcim353b
