Busia Governor Paul Otuoma allegedly sent goons to target anyone opposed to him politically during the night. Houses were reportedly burnt, people were beaten and threatened and operations were carried out throughout the night to ensure that the ODM rally today proceeded without anyone heckling the Governor while he speaking. The wantam chants on him.

There is a content creator called Abuya Abuya from Busia who often produces videos criticizing Governor Otuoma's administration and holding it accountable. He was reportedly raided yesterday, and people close to him were threatened and beaten.

The goons were heard saying, "Ambia Abuya awachane na Governor Otuoma ama tutamua" (Tell Abuya to stop criticizing Governor Otuoma or we will kill him).

Otuoma is also reportedly unhappy with Hon. Atandi @SamuelAtandi and Busia Woman Representative Hon. Catherine Omanyo @HonOmanyo.
