Ever think about the name, Mark Studdock?
He is the son, the seed, of Mars, the God of War.
His ability to propagate that seed is "in the dock" - it is suspended, under juridical scrutiny, awaiting judgement.
Will Mark rise up to fulfill his call? Will he learn to become a man of righteous war, a husband faithful to his divine duties?
In the end, after much suffering, Mark does seem to find his own martial virtue, but Lewis is clear that humility before God and wife is an absolute requirement for escaping the dock.
@WesleyLHuff Possibly the later date. As about 100 years before Seti I, a Semitic vizier by the name of Abdiel or Aper-El served Amenhotep III & IV between 1390 - 1336. This Semitic name being attached to a Pharoah in a vizier role might be the man Genesis calls Joseph.
Not a scholar tho. 🤷♂️

When Arthur Smith took the job and the first two years didn’t work out all of a sudden we were told from Arthur Blank that there was a “ 3 year plan”. No QB of the future. No winning football. Nothing. Just uninspired football.
Raheem Morris year one addresses the QB position with a very reliable QB in Kirk Cousins albeit after an achilles injury at age 35 and doubles down with securing a QB for the future. That to me is a plan right from the jump. Success and sustained success. Don’t get me wrong I was shocked when they announced the pick. But it makes completely perfect sense to me. Now all of the previous top 10 offensive picks can meet their full potential with stable QB play for the next several years.
“If we don’t do a quarterback this year, then what’s going to be there next year? The year after?” Fontenot said to Blank, explaining the murkiness.
“When are we going to be able to do it? Are we gonna win for a couple seasons and then not be able to win anymore to pull that off?”
“We do something else right here, and then we win for the next few seasons and then Kirk decides to hang up the cleats, whenever that is, then Michael Penix is somewhere playing at a really high level and we’re in quarterback purgatory, we don’t have a quarterback,” Fontenot says.
“We knew in our heart if we had a lot of people in the building that loved him and expected him to be that player, and he’s somewhere else, then that’s unforgivable.”
People said the Kirk move was good and the Falcons should find their QB of the future in the next two drafts to sit and learn. But they wanted the Falcons to do that with another 3rd rounder. Not a top ten pick. After their HC just got fired for believing in a 3rd rounder.
@AtlantaFalcons NOT A SINGLE QB would’ve made the 2nd round. this is an investment pick we wouldn’t have if we waited. the raiders would have been forced to take him. patience my friends.
