Great evening with BHA colleagues at Sandown last night.
Standout performances from Ombudsman and Talk of New York were the highlights - Definitely Oasis made for a fun end to the night post racing too!

It takes just five minutes! Please assist us in understanding the thoughts of racing punters
There’s a foul on todibo, mavropanos AND the West Ham goalie. But they rule it out for an arm across the goalie.
Fair play Arsenal it’s a huge result and guaranteed them the title but I don’t wanna hear winging about refs after that and the atleti game. They’re getting away with murder.
💬 "The Government must bring this back to Parliament for full democratic scrutiny."
An important intervention from previous Gambling Minister @StuartAndrew, who was clear when he was in post that affordability checks should only be approved if they are proven to be fully frictionless.
The opposite is happening now, and we agree with his assertion that the Government needs to bring this policy – which will have severe unintended consequences for British racing – back to parliament for full democratic scrutiny.

Hear, hear.
The current Government position of "trust us, this will be better for racing" is completely unsustainable without providing any evidence to back it up.
If financial risk(affordability) checks are to proceed, full transparency from the Gambling Commission is essential:
1⃣ Publish the pilot results in full.
2⃣Disclose board-level accountability, including voting positions.
3⃣Define clear, measurable outcomes for the policy and include a sunset clause so the policy can be reversed if it fails to deliver within a fixed timeframe.

Today I sent an open letter to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, @lisanandy — calling on the Government to pause the implementation of financial risk assessments for bettors until a proper evaluation of the Gambling Commission’s pilot scheme has been published and made available for scrutiny.
I am deeply concerned by recent reports which have highlighted the pilot’s apparent lack of transparency and efficacy.
