@charliebilello I remember Powell hinting in 2020 that they were going to do this because inflation has been under 2% for so many years, needed to be higher now so the long-term average would be 2%; but I think their motivation was actually internal default due to the debt
@japan_nobunaga actually, I hate it when GPS does that. Often the initial route was best and if I only knew about my wrong turn, I could quickly correct it and return to that route.
So the analogy to life is also: often only you can recognize your own wrong turns.
@RandPaul I think it was Democrats who started using “affordability” recently instead of “inflation”. It would be interesting to know why. Could it be that they don’t dislike inflation and what they want isn’t to control inflation, it’s more government spending, redistribution, etc?
