I’ve been very lucky to see some incredible Geology around Tenerife these past couple of weeks thanks to @GeoIntern.
Take this bomb-sag. This one formed after a hydrovolcanic eruption. A layer of ash was deposited and then deformed when a volcanic bomb landed with immense force.

This is the result of thousands of years of lava flows in Tenerife. These rock faces show how multiple lava flows can stack on top of each other. The holes visible are lava tubes that formed as the flow was still molten, and they extend deep into the rock face.
