One of my biggest blackpills as a social studies teacher has been discovering kids don't learn any geography. I'm at a relatively nice school today teaching 8th graders how to label a map of the US with state names. These kids are in algebra and they don't know what Ohio is
at one point my 1 bath, 956 sq ft childhood home was 6 people and a dog…and it was fine. the absolute need for space is a modern problem that’s overrated imo.

Just devastating. An inhabitable house and on the precipice of being homeless. Still paying medical bills for their son who passed away. You work so hard, get a little something to hold on to, and cruelly it gets taken away. Heartbreaking.
After cleaning up from the floods I really can’t understand how anyone chooses to live in states with frequent hurricanes. Shoveling snow is a lot better than dealing with flooding
