@CorbynRed Reviews are subjective, but they’re a means of judging artistic and technical quality, giving devs feedback, and, in a cost‑of‑living crisis, helping people avoid spending $70 they might not have on a game they might not enjoy. Your snarky comment does not account for this.
@knightware98 No hate, but it's about intention. Mixtape echoes 80's coming-of-age films, the handholding serves that experience. Wolverine is a AAA Insomniac title; their pedigree is empowering players in big open worlds, handholding undercuts that. One supports the fantasy, the other doesn't
@nathancofnas Using just a modicum of common sense, this isn't surprising at all. You're embroiled in an international controversy and publicly shared views about a minority group that no academic institution would want to be associated with. You reap what you sow.
@CraigSh17821849@afneil https://t.co/vdocDGDbsr, they're left-leaning with a reformist view point in regard to the media (as am I) but useful as a benchmark.
@datnofact@bigklouse So fed up of seeing this kind of dishonest, braindead take in the videogame space. This is not 'technically' gameplay, it is 'literally' the game at play in front of your eyes. Every game can be filtered down into a 'you just push up' argument, it doesn't make it any less lazy.
@tyler_skoz24@syriangeekvibes Tbf, I never said it was the culmination of everything, more that this is currently the culmination of a story built over 36 films. One of the best things about the MCU is it's universe-building. The fact that we're not getting that progressive buildup for DOOM is disappointing .
@syriangeekvibes Stop running defence for a studio making billions and instead ask why we're being fed nostalgia-bait, member berry slop when we could be living large (like we were with the MCU in 2019).
@syriangeekvibes the seeds for this to be sown or "built-up" - as John patronisingly repeats throughout this clip - particularly as Marvel already achieved this with Thanos, whose presence loomed large across multiple films. Doom's inclusion feels hastily drawn by comparison...
@Mrha00rj "Nobody is forcing you to upgrade".
By its very definition, this is not an upgrade, you'll be paying more for less.
This is a downgrade and that's why people are angry.
This is not complex.
