Jessie just got out of surgery. She’s incredible! It went perfectly. The kidney is on the way to Georgia right now.

Plot twist: I found out who MY recipient was in the minutes leading up to Jessie’s surgery.

That was unexpected, as I was told they didn’t want their identity revealed.

The transplant coordinator delivered me a note and an item from them unexpectedly. It’s too meaningful to share here.

This reminded me of when I learned who my daughter’s recipient was (Sam)…WHILE she was still being operated on…exactly 2 years ago today.

(That’s not supposed to happen)

Full circle.

It’s actually been a really nice morning, and neither of us were worried in the least. Excited, even!
