@ChaiMetaX@ASyrran@SenSanders It was enacted by a democratically elected parliament. It may not align with YOUR principles, which is fair enough. But it is the legal framework of Ukraine that they voted for. Notwithstanding the practical impossibility of verifiable legitimate elections in an active war zone.
@ASyrran@ChaiMetaX@SenSanders The martial law act (enacted before Zelenskyy was elected) specifically states that elections cannot be held in wartime.
Are you suggested Zelenskyy should have broken Ukrainian law?
@ChaiMetaX@ASyrran@SenSanders And it was democratically brought into law before Zelenskyy was elected. So tell me, how is he behaving undemocratically? You have every right to dislike their laws, but Ukraine has the right to determine the terms and limits of its democratic presidency.
@mantarnyc @SenSanders It is a democracy if it is upholding the principles of their democratically ratified constitution. It would only be undemocratic if he stayed in power after his legal right to the office ends. Their constitution says his office term expires when martial law is over.
@ASyrran@ChaiMetaX@SenSanders Article 83 of the Ukrainian Constitution states that if the term of the president expires under martial law, it shall automatically be extended until a new president is seated following the end of martial law. You are incorrect.
@FredJoh26842729@SenSanders Democracies hold true to their constitutions. The Ukrainian says they cannot hold elections during wartime. It would be quite literally illegal and unconstitutional. Are you suggesting Zelenskyy should have broken Ukrainian law?
@Cmin914725641@SenSanders They haven’t outlawed elections. The Ukrainian constitution (in force long before Zelenskyy’s administration) says they cannot hold elections in wartime. It would be illegal. Are you suggesting that Zelenskyy should have broken Ukrainian law instead?
@WapplerAndrea@SenSanders You do know it is illegal according to their constitution to hold elections during wartime? Are you suggesting Zelenskyy should have broken Ukrainian law?
@mantarnyc @SenSanders So you’re saying Zelenskyy should have broken Ukrainian law instead? Because the law (in their constitution) says they can’t hold elections during times of war.
@Tibetan95380@AdamLowisz@elonmusk They literally let in more Ukrainian immigrants than any other country. Over 2 MILLION in a few months.
There was more emergency immigration to Poland in the past 2 years than literally everywhere else in Europe. Get your facts right!
@Theo_Griffiths@PatriotUK4Life I’m sorry but you’re completely ignoring the point. Did you pay for a first class ticket? No. Did you know the first class is for those with those tickets? Yes.
Don’t want the drama? Don’t sit where you didn’t pay for. It’s very simple.
Why do you think you deserve it more?
@BurgerKingUK - it’s a complete joke that I go into your restaurant at Fleet services. They say it’s closed. I ask what time it closes, they say 10.30pm. I show that it’s 10.25pm. They shrug and say “it’s close enough” looking me straight in the face. Pure idle laziness!
@Cnmctosh21@DerrenBrown I don’t think this is the same show. On Broadway he performed his US shoe Secrets. This is a different show Derren premiered in the UK called Showman.
