Effective teaching comes from the teacher and not from the technology tools. Technology tools should be used to supplement and facilitate the learning rather than becoming the source of it. #EDUC331
It's VERY important to keep in mind your student's safety and privacy when using online tools for classes. If it hasn't been pre-approved by your school or district, then do some research. Our kid's safety must come before anything else. #EDUC331
It appeared to be a safe assumption that students with devices such as laptops or smartphones would have adequate internet access, but it turns out that many students only had access when they were at school. #EDUC331
It's important to keep in mind the plethora of situations students are in regarding their access to technology and the internet. This is something that is necessary now and something that will remain necessary when things return to normal. #EDUC331
@iluveducating A3: How much I cared about the important things in my life, and my kindness. But to be honest just being remembered after 100 years would be pretty cool itself! #tlap
@Katie_Kutz14 @Bigler_Michelle Interesting perspective! I chose empowerment, but maybe you can't get students to feel empowered without first being engaged. π§#EDUC331
@Bigler_Michelle A3 I believe student empowerment is the most important bullet. Of the four I think it's the one that could have the greatest positive impact on the world. #EDUC331
@Bigler_Michelle A1 - Hi I'm Victoria. My experience with global learning is minimal considering it wasn't something we were expected to do when I was in high school, yet I am excited to learn more about this! #EDUC331
@Bigler_Michelle A1 Hi I'm Jack! My global learning experiences have been few and far in between. I once had a pen pal from an adjacent school of mine, so that was neat. #EDUC331
@McCallA_Teacher @crafted_jennyp@cultofpedagogy This was really informative, and also something I hadn't put much thought into up to this point. Thanks for sharing!
@Bigler_Michelle I think it absolutely depends on what is in the quiz, and when the students learned the material. Quizzes can be either formative or summative as long as the grading (if it's for a grade) is fair. #pstpln
