This government need to guarantee the future for our children.
In 2010 just over 400 head teachers left pre retirement. In 2022 1700 left.
In 2010 there were fewer than 500 teacher vacancies. Today the number is approaching 2500.
A record 40k teachers left the profession last year.
Education is grinding to a halt.

Despite our efforts, Govt has shown no understanding of just how serious the situation in education is. Our members need a fully funded pay rise.

5 tips to reduce stress of staff.
1) if asking to meet with staff member, let them know why.
2) Don't address an issue you have with one person with the whole staff.
3) praise a lot more than you critique
4) fewer meetings
5) continual encouragement, support, and praise.

Continuing recruitment and retention crisis.
The National Education Union has announced its members will strike on Thursday 27 April and Tuesday 2 May.
This is after the union rejected a £1,000 payment on top of this year's pay rise, a commitment to reduce workload, and a pay increase of 4.5% for next year.
