This guy has literally attacked anyone who diverged on a single lefty policy as a sellout but on what used to be his most important issue, he's now all open arms.
Fine to be heterodox but then you're a hypocrite for haranguing moderates
This is just not true. Hasan absolutely supports the killing, or at the very least believes the killing is morally justified. The only reason why people are able to dance around this topic is because no one will ask him these questions point blank to force an honest answer, but this is an intentional strategy where people like Hasan/Trump etc...will only go on podcasts where they know they won't be confronted directly with challenging questions, which allows everyone else to play the plausible deniability game about their takes.
Let’s talk about Graham Platner’s Big Lie. In 2009, at the height of the Gulf War, the Marines barred him from active duty. Platner claims it was his forearm tattoos. But his one forbidden tattoo was the Nazi symbol on his chest. He left the Marines rather than give it up. 1/
@Bakari_Sellers@VicMensa Ahh yes. The favorite pastime of media democrats—using the media to shit on democrats. I don’t know how you can watch this video and see it as an opportunity to criticize democrats.
On the left, my warning from September 2024 about what Trump 2.0 would look like. On the right, recent headlines.
I wish I'd been wrong. But because Trump is following a classic authoritarian playbook, it’s up to state and local governments to push back on this tyranny while it’s still possible.
The right-wing talking point that “less than 2% of white Americans owned slaves” is profoundly misleading because it counts individuals rather than households.
In the slaveholding states on the eve of the Civil War, one in four white households enslaved Black Americans; in Alabama, Georgia, and Louisiana, one in three white households held enslaved people; and in Mississippi and South Carolina, nearly one in two white households held enslaved people.
Slavery was far more widespread than the “less than 2%” narrative would have you believe.
Washington, DC is a beautiful city.
DC is home to 700K people and welcomes millions every year.
We have the #1 park system, fantastic public schools, and a tremendous public transportation system.
And we are at a 30-year low in violent crime.
It's important for all who live here and visit to know how beautiful our city is and how proud we are of all that we've accomplished.
Reverend Joseph Darby Jr. advocated for the people of South Carolina with his heart and soul. A pastor, organizer, and champion for civil rights, he believed deeply in the very idea of America — that we are all created equal and deserve to be treated equally throughout our lives. During his remarkable career, Reverend Darby led with integrity, humility, and determination, and made countless lives better. A legacy that will endure.
I will always cherish the years of friendship we shared. Jill and I are keeping his family and all of those who knew and loved him in our prayers. May God bless Reverend Darby.
The no-show assemblyman missed this interview while vacationing at his parents’ compound in Uganda, a country that murders LGBTQIA+ people.
Silence is violence.
I hereby call on you to Boycott, Divest, and Sanction your property in Uganda and commit to stop spending tourism dollars there until they overturn their hateful, discriminatory laws which violate basic human rights.
I worked at BLS for years and can tell you that revisions are completely legitimate. Many field-reported stats simply come in *late* after the close of the month. Would you prefer that they just ignore the newer stats that come in?
In fact, as a senior BLS economist I myself led a study to detect any systematic direction of post-publishing inflation revisions. It was a perfect bell curve (normal distribution) centered around the mean of 0% revision.
Economists take their responsibility seriously. There is no political bias. Just the facts as well as they can be calculated.
