@xeixeira146866@SurrealistShip Thanks for listening! I didn't get it or care until it affected me, so I can hardly blame anyone for not understanding.
The funny thing is that when I'm just driving myself I see multiple empty spots, but whenever I'm driving mom those spots always seem to be full. Tough balance
@xeixeira146866@SurrealistShip Sure, there are too many of the regulations that have gone too far. I do think accessible sidewalks and parking spaces should be table stakes for developed countries however.
Getting around in many (most?) countries if you are disabled is almost impossible, and very confining.
@xeixeira146866@SurrealistShip It isn't something I thought about until a loved one became disabled. I hope you are spared this experience, but have some compassion for those who were not as fortunate.
OTOH, the auto lawsuits have got to go. Terrible way to enforce compliance.
@xeixeira146866@SurrealistShip Disabled spaces are also helpful when if you are transporting a disabled passenger. My mother cannot drive and requires a wheelchair but we need extra width between parking spaces to be able to load and unload her.
