If you disagree with Starbuck and #Walmart, share this post so we can get 1.4 million to boycott Walmart. There are many other choices so SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THERE, NOT WALMART! #DEI#BlackFriday

Tonight, we saw firsthand who has the vision and strength to move this country forward instead of dividing us. @KamalaHarris will be a president for all Americans.
Let's get to work: https://t.co/EuAXRi0gI2
On behalf of the American people, I thank Joe Biden for his extraordinary leadership as President of the United States and for his decades of service to our country.
I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination.
Joe Biden has been one of America’s most consequential presidents, as well as a dear friend and partner to me. Today, we’ve also been reminded – again – that he’s a patriot of the highest order.
Here’s my full statement: https://t.co/Bs2ZumFXxe
There is absolutely no place for political violence in our democracy. Although we don’t yet know exactly what happened, we should all be relieved that former President Trump wasn’t seriously hurt, and use this moment to recommit ourselves to civility and respect in our politics. Michelle and I are wishing him a quick recovery.
The Fourth of July is about celebrating the big, bold, inclusive experiment that is our American democracy. And it has always been an experiment. Our democracy has never been guaranteed, which means we can’t take it for granted. We need to keep fighting for it, keep improving it, and keep making sure it reflects the better angels of our nature instead of the worst. That, more than anything, is what America is all about.

The Section on Law Professors with Disabilities and Allies was granted permanent status by @TheAALS! Heartfelt thanks to @katie_eyer@nicolebporter@RobynMPowell and many others who’ve done so much work to make this happen. ❤️ to all of our allies who cheered us on!
In his Book Review, @b_hasbrouck expands upon @BellinJ’s Mass Incarceration Nation, and contends that American prisons promulgate repressive policies and represent a grave threat as laboratories of antidemocracy when exporting these policies to the body politic.
Thanks @b_hasbrouck@YaleLJournal for this insightful review of #MassIncarcerationNation through an abolitionist lens:
"Mere reform may be sufficient to mitigate mass incarceration, but prison’s antidemocratic effects cannot be resolved without abolitionist interventions."
I think this is right because the exclusion from the franchise of persons with records of criminal conviction is premised on the politics of worthiness — by race, class, and status — and those exclusionary values are antithetical to authentic democracy.
Strong work by very strong students! It’s been an honor leading this team. Every employer should know that you’d be lucky to land any one of them!

This photo is one that captures what took place on campus, and where we are at this moment— best. The question after today’s events, for all of us affiliated with UT-Austin, is whose Texas is this? Photo cred:@MichaelMinasi
