But I think the point is not if it can happen, it's if it should happen.
Some MLB stadiums avoid it and have a gap between OF fence and seats, the rules seem to read like “if not, then oh well..”

@tburns34 @AllanWark Now the umpires (and MLB’s) decision all rests on the assumption that Betts would have certainly caught and held onto the ball.
It seems realistic that he would have but it's hard to say for sure.

@tburns34 @AllanWark As far as I can tell either:
1 - Betts is inside the fence and the fans are over.
Or
2 - They are all roughly around the 3 or 4 inch line and it's a very close call, in which case I'd still lean towards interference.
