Imagine your most challenging day at work being filmed and posted online for thousands to see... 🎥📱
Filming retail workers is becoming an epidemic - we’re calling for an end to all recording in stores by the general public unless direct consent has been given 📵
Retail workers deserve respect, privacy and the right to do their jobs without fear of being publicly shamed, mocked or targeted online ❌
i think it's great that the bbc archive all their old news stories online and keep them accessible
but i also think it's really cool that they essentially just keep the webpages essentially how they looked at the time instead of updating them
By my calculation there are 3 Council by elections due in London because the Green Party's incompetence: 1 in Camden 1 in Hackney (candidates working in schools at time of nomination ) 1 in Lambeth (suspended by the Greens has now resigned ) . Thats about 60K cost to taxpayer
@rachelmillward Great to see Wealden is building much needed council homes! Cabinet Member for Housing @danielmanvell is a huge credit to the Labour Party in Sussex 🌹🏡 👏
This isn't new, the Greens here in Brighton had long pledged to hit Net Zero by 2030. But when we took over the council we realised they had absolutely no plan to get there.
Smaller parties get away with this all the time, but it's damaging local government.
The Conservatives under Churchill opposed the creation of the NHS because they said that Doctors should not be servants of the state.
Now they want to take away their right to withdraw their labour.
Churchill will be rolling in his grave bcos of the authoritarian @KemiBadenoch!
Calling Labour the party of corporate elites on the same day we expand workers’ rights and boost wages is about as detached from reality one has come to expect from the Greens
#OTD 1947. The coal mines are nationalised “on behalf of the people” in ceremonies across the country.
Prime Minister Clement Attlee says that it will be
“remembered as one of the great days in the industrial history of our country.
The coal mines now belong to the nation”.
