Dear Trinity Community,
With steadfast hope, we write to share that Aidan Heartfield ’26, a Trinity marketing major, and Kellyanne Lytal, the young daughter of Trinity football offensive coordinator Wade Lytal, remain among those missing after the devastating flooding along the Guadalupe River.
Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones as search and rescue efforts continue. We will do all we can to support them during this incredibly difficult time.
We also recognize that other students, faculty, and staff have been directly affected by this disaster. Our Student Affairs team has been reaching out to students from impacted areas, and we are extending support to affected employees as well.
We invite all members of the Trinity family to visit a vigil space in the Parker Chapel foyer during any time this week. A member of the Chapel | Spiritual Life team will be there at 11 a.m. daily.
To anyone in our community who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or in need of comfort: You are not alone. Support is available, and we encourage you to reach out.

Asking for all prayers for a miracle for my baby girl Kellyanne. She is still one of the Mystic Campers who is unaccounted for. I’ll never forget when she told me she had a lead solo in the Christmas Pageant. She is absolutely fearless.
Calling all prayer warriors! A miracle is needed in helping safely locate the missing children from the Camp Mystic floods this morning, including Kellyanne Lytal. Praying in the name of Jesus at this time that He will work miracles through the rescue teams!
Former Texas A&M assistant Brandon “Red” Sanders, who led A&M FB’s S&C program recently, is in need of help.
He’s recently been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, and his family (Brandon, his wife Michela, and their two children) could use some help.
Please help spread the word or even donate if you’re fortunate enough to.

In a few days, Americans will be forced to move their clocks back and lose an hour of sunlight.
Changing our clocks twice a year is an outdated, burdensome practice.
It’s time to LOCK THE CLOCK and make DST permanent.
