We currently have around 41,000 residents without power. Duke is ready to begin working to resolve as soon as it is safe to do so. We have 200+ downed trees called in. We have City crews from that will be working overnight to clear streets.

Visiting classrooms is the best part of the job! I had the privilege of visiting Ms. Maereg who is a first year CM at Penn-Griffin! Even though she teaches math she included a vocab/word wall in her room to help her students! The ELA teacher inside of me is so happy! @OneDay_NC

My next tip is for our current CMs. Take time to get to know the people in your corps, the corps before you, and the corps after you! They can become not only resources but your best friends! I’m so lucky to call people from my corps and the corps before and after me my besties!
