See i could never relate to this because my parents never raised me to think that I would be seen as lesser than or to be fearful of white people because I was a black man
In 2013, Huey Lewis and Weird Al created the greatest meta parody ever; a shot-for-shot remake of the axe scene from AMERICAN PSYCHO, which featured Lewis's "Hip To Be Square", with Lewis and Yankovic partially playing themselves talking about the movie. So good.
@KTD1892@debateydebate Ah, that's what you mean, thought you were saying it was going to "end" the other games, else every other sequel did that already. In that case, I actually agree with you. My bad.
The Witcher 3 is 55 hours long. 120 with side quests.
Baldur's Gate 3 is 60 hours long. 110 with side quests.
Skyrim is 35 hours long. 100+ with side quests.
RPGs are designed around investment. You're building a character, exploring a world, developing relationships, making choices, seeing those choices play out, and watching your character grow from some nobody into someone who actually matters.
That takes time.
You wanna be done in 20 hours? Play literally anything else.
Since I stirred up a hornet’s nest of AI hatred today, I’ll add a little more :) Just so you know. I don’t work for any company. I’m not working on any game. So you have nothing to boycott guys :) I’m retired for now, sipping whiskey, and having a great time, so I don’t give a fuck. The whole AI situation is really funny. A very vocal group of people hates it, and absolutely every developer is terrified that they’ll come after them, so they all swear up and down that they definitely don’t use any AI. The reality? Of course that EVERYONE uses it! Every one! Absolutely every developer across many companies that I’ve spoken with over the past year uses AI. Programmers can’t get anything done without it anymore. Most developers are building their own AI tools for just about everything. It can generate high-quality character models, it helps animators, and it’s used by concept artists, 3D artists, screenwriters, and designers... Research, writing, ideas development, concepts... Even people who don’t know how to program use it to create tools that programmers never had time to code for them. And its used for AI! You know - the NPC AI :)
Fun fact: You know who uses it the most? Usualy the most talented people I know. They are the ones who are least afraid and who see its huge potential.
The idea that someone is making 100 million dollar project and will want to avoid a technology that will help him develop it much faster and cheaper is insane.
I spent 7 years working day and night on ONE game. If anything helped me to make it in one year I would take in anytime. No one wants to work on a game for a decade. Sure I would rather made 7 games instead of one in that time.
I’m curious to see what will happen when the truth comes out about all of that—and who will be the first to spill the beans :) I guess all the games and companies will be boycotted! Its going to be lot of fun!
You know that a couple decades ago most people's entire identity wasn't their politics right?
People aligned or discussed issues rather than wholesale signed off on an ideology.
Games were just made by gamers, not a political party.
The reason Miles Morales fails and is just Peter Darker is because the writers clearly don't understand what they created
Hes a black/puerto rican super smart dude with BOTH parents and he's from Brooklyn and he's also Spider-Man. He'd be one of the smoothest dudes in all of comics. Not some nerdy awkward guy like Peter. He'd have any chick he wanted. He'd never have to worry about money cuz he'd be a hustler (the right way though like doing people's work and fixing computers and stuff) and above all else he wouldn't want to be called Spider-Man. He would have his own name because he is his own man and he would want to separate himself
When you start looking at the character from the lenses of someone who actually knows the area and people, you understand that Marvel didnt even try to standout forreal. They just slapped a black skin on a Spider-Man and called it representation when all they really did was create a hollow husk of a character thats so lost in what to do they constantly recycle villains from other heros and/or make him those other heroes. Its wack as hell forreal
South Africa has become a Muslim Brotherhood stronghold.
With Qatar’s support, the Islamist network has gained influence over South African religious institutions, charities, politicians and foreign policy.
Here’s how it happened.

@BoerHindoe@uMarhobane 100% agree. Coloureds are unfortunately also very lost and stuck in our own identities. I have ethnic backgrounds from Africa, Europe, and Asia but I'm not any one of these specifically. Much like the Latinos of America, we have to define who we are as a people.
@BoerHindoe@uMarhobane Spot on. I've been ethnically disregarded all my life for being Coloured, and at best, people don't even know that each Province has a different culture and we all aren't just collectively Cape Coloured. Black when we achieve anything, "keeping us white" when we speak up.
You really have to wonder how something like this even gets shown to the public...?
There's a whole myriad of combat system basics that aren't at work here. Even if this is supposed to be a boss, you never ever resort to enemies not having any hit reacts at all.
@WeArePlayground Happy to have a quick call with you folks to point you in the right direction.
The more I interact with GTA fans, the more I think I'm never gonna purchase GTA VI, I have never seen a group of gamers that lick the boot more than these people.
The GTA 6 leaks exposed something way bigger than GTA 6.
Gamers have been trained to confuse loving a game with loyalty to the corporation selling it.
Rockstar knows its interests. Take-Two knows its interests. The gaming media knows its interests.
It’s time gamers remembered theirs.
I wrote about Cyberleek, ownership, physical games, crypto, corporate loyalty and why half the internet suddenly became unpaid Rockstar security:
