👏Huge congratulations to Wakefield Trinity on becoming the 2026 @SuperLeague champions!

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

@jdgsport Unless I am misunderstanding something, why would this mean losing one of the current teams? The championship is currently 20 teams with no news on Fev returning and even doubts over Crusaders continuing. If London go up as team 15 in SL they would actually need backfilling, no?

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

@M_Shaw1 Also some teams go up and down like in football; take the good with the bad. Leigh went up and down a couple times, but eventually had their day at Wembley and keep growing. I think IMG could just be used to dictate central funding if money matters more than on-field results.

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

@M_Shaw1 What about York & Toulouse who came up with half the central funding to the rest of the league finishing respectfully. As much as they were selected to come up that was after York winning the league & 2nd place Toulouse winning the grand final in which they both competed in.

See you in 2027!

@WidnesRL What a result!

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

@Josh96Roberts I think after failing to replace Maizen ambitiously with Dufty & whoever else we had lined up that fell through that Connell will be full back, leaving only Ince & Butt for the wings as that Sergent is injured. Edge could push out wide. Fleming gives depth in centres & full back.

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

Reece Walsh, unbelievable! In attack and defence, he plays the game with so much power, confidence, and bravery. A proper superstar!

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

@pikey_kev @WidnesRL Great shout. Allan said he wanted someone who can play as a ball playing loose and hooker so he would fit that role. Only England international I've heard rumoured through the grapevine is Mark Percvial but I'm convinced that can't be the case.

[Jacob Melvin @JacobMelv89]

@Saints1890 I hope @WidnesRL have been working on a deal for him.
